Libraries of Local Presents "Preparing for Severe Climate - Protecting Rhinecliff, Our Families, Children, Friends and Neighbors" with Nick Sussillo

  • Morton Memorial Library 82 Kelly Street Rhinebeck, NY, 12574 United States (map)

The Morton Library’s Libraries of Local initiative is hosting Nick Sussillo, former director of the Office of Sustainability of Silver City, NM, who will give a power point presentation on September 19th.

The goal is to present the audience with information about what may be possible to survive what’s coming: “Floods, fires and deadly heat are the alarm bells of a planet on the brink,” said Sarah Kaplan for the Washington Post, July 13, 2023. "To protect the children, we must learn how to radically protect ourselves, our families, our friends and our community." This presentation hopes to connect like-minded people and make a difference in a hyper local environment.
